Founder and Overseer
Pastor Claude Lamar Harris, Sr. hails from Augusta, Georgia. He received his formal education and graduated from the Immaculate Conception Academy in Augusta.
Pastor Harris attended Paine College, majoring in Mathematics. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, he was the only honor graduate in his communications course at the Keesler Technical Training Center, Mississippi. He earned a degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Aiken Technical College in South Carolina. He also received various certificates from the Charles Harrison Mason Theological Seminary, I.T.C. in Atlanta, Georgia.
Pastor Harris is the Founder and Overseer of the New Life Worship Center, with a campus in Hephzibah, Georgia and West Initiative with services in Columbia County, Georgia, and of the New Creation Mission in Waynesboro, Georgia. Ordained in the Church of God in Christ in 1982, God elevated him to the following ecclesiastical responsibilities: in 1986 as Superintendent of the Augusta District and, from 1991-1996, Chairman of the Pastor’s and Elder’s Council in the Central Georgia Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ.
In 1996, Pastor Harris received a Certificate of Training from the Department of the Army for completing a seminar on Parish Pastoral Counseling. In 2012, he received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Georgia House of Representatives for invoking the divine guidance of God to assist its members in the performance of their duties as lawmakers. In May 2021, he successfully completed Harvard University’s Christianity Through Its Scriptures course of study. In May 2023, he received his Honorary Doctorate Degree of Theology from FMI Biblical Studies & Seminary.
He is a former Advisor to the National Women’s Aglow – Aiken Chapter. He is also the founder and host of the Power In The Spirit Conference, Word Week, Apostolic Summit, Gathering of the Eagles, and Leadership Conference. In December 2000, Pastor Harris was appointed the Southeast Regional Director of the General Council of Pastors and Elders of the Churches of God in Christ. He is the former First Administrative Assistant to Bishop Richard J. White, Sr. in the Bermuda Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ. In 2007, Pastor Harris founded Wisdom World Care and Learning Facility, Inc.
Pastor Harris conducts revivals, workshops, and seminars and is a conference speaker throughout the country. His unique preaching and teaching ministry brings Revelatory Truths of the Kingdom to the Body, systematically under a prophetic anointing. Aside from these many ministerial duties, he is the husband of his lovely, beautiful wife, Pastor Regina T. Harris. They are the proud parents of two wonderful and gifted children: Elder Claude Lamar Harris, Jr., also known as “Claude Deuce”, and Elder Danielle Elizabeth Hayes, also known as “Dede”.
He is a man on a mission and is uniquely articulate and highly respected. His ministry is setting a precedent of excellence.
